I was reconciling amex credit card account with ending date of 11/09/20. the Wave account total for amex credit card had the 11/9 transaction, which the credit card statement did not have the 11/9 transaction; so the reconciliation is out of balance by that 1 transaction. What is the best option to do to get the amex account reconciled? should I change the transaction date to 11/10 or should I change the amex statement balance to include the 11/9 transaction? The 11/9 transaction appeared in the amex 12/10 statement. Bottom line, what is the correct thing to do when a transaction is not in the amex statement due to the cut off date?
