How to unmatch old transactions

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to unmatch a number of old transactions in bulk. I am new to the wave program, starting the year in 2020, and these transactions go back almost 7 years. Also, would be able to explain why I would have a bulk on transactions unmatched. Is this due to the account not being set up or synced correctly? Why would all these transactions go uncleared?
