credit/debit card payments

I have a lump sum deposit from credit/debit card payments that are deposited into my checking account, which show up on the transaction page. How do I categorize these payments? Also, the transaction page show the customer invoice paid, so can I match cc deposit with customer invoice? If not, how do I show the payment made. I have the cc payments set up as money in transit.
