I want to archive my account, but I can't because I can't delete the bank account linked to payout

I'm trying to archive an old account. It keeps giving me the error that I can't archive because there is a payout account connected. From what I've read, I can never remove my payout account and have nothing linked to that once I have linked it. So how in the world can I archive an old account?
