how to apply a payment with one cheque to multiple invoices ?

Hello First of all thanks everyone for stopping by and pitching in to help 
I have multiple invoices for the same customer and now customer sent us the cheque to pay all 4 invoices at once.Now i m looking a way to apply that payment (chque) towards those invoices for the customers ,i can't seem to find it.it is not a big deal if i have to do that one by one but if i can apply the payments towards these multiple invoices in one shot than that would be great.Again thanks in advance guys

We use split transaction feature that is available in the "Transactions" view.
