Handling Owner's Investment / Drawings & Cash On Hand

Good day,
There are times when I would make a payment for my business, with my personal cash, which I intend to be reimbursed. When I do that, I input a transaction for that expense and mark the payment to owner's invest/ drawings. I do this to show the a transaction was made and paid for by the owner.
I then create a second transaction to reimburse owner. I do this by select "owner", which is a vendor that I created, outline the what the payment is for and mark the payment to cash on hand.

Is this practice correct?
