Flaw in Sales Tax report?

Hi there
I have recorded all sales through invoices generated by wave and included tax on the invoices. Now it's time for a tax return and I thought the sales tax report would make life easy - but here now it looks like the sales are tax exclusive and added on rather than taken into account.
I'm wondering now if it's the way I have used taxes on my invoices or if the report is flawed.

    @ITstuffed, can you show some screenshots of what you're seeing? If you set a tax on an invoice, it should add to the total and show up on your tax report. You do have to add taxes manually when you create an invoice. It isn't automated since not every tax applies to everything.
