Handling dividends is advanced accounting and while I can help with a lot of management accounting problems, I do recommend consulting with an accountant on this particular subject.

I have the same question.
I am trying to categorize my expenses etc. There are interest dividends in the wave app that are not categorized. Wave does not provide a category for them which seems odd since this would be an item in most everybody's banking information that should be accounted for.
There is no "dividend" option in the category structure.
