Are transfers excluded from income/expense totals?

Are transactions that are classified as "Transfer From", "Transfer To" and "Bill Payment" included in income/expense totals?

If you are explicitly marking them as transfers, they should not be included as expense or income -- a transfer is money moving from one account to another so if it's marked as a transfer, it won't inflate your numbers.
