How do you record the purchase of assets? The items you add only allows for expense accounts.

Have you set up an account (chart of accounts) such as Equipment on the balance sheet under Property Plant and Equipment? When the withdrawal comes through on the transaction page you should be able to classify it to the asset account you created.
