Transaction ID not correctly exported to csv

nigelwheelernigelwheeler Member Posts: 20

When I export to csv (or excel) the Transaction Id is 'truncated' in accounting.csv.
For example, both 479827673359629331 and 479827848345992978 are exported as 4.79828E+17
This means I am unable to relate the exported data back to a unique transaction within the system.

I am using Google Sheets. Please advise the correct custom formatting rule to display the full Id.
(Thanks for the new Sheets integration btw! )

I am wondering if this is issue (on a different aspect of exported transactions), which was dealt with by @Alexia gives some insight:
    https://community.waveapps.com/discussion/comment/2935
The OP for that issue are quoting transaction ids with 15 integers followed by 3 zeros.
Similarly, In the Google rendering of the .csv (before converting to Sheets) I am able to see the transactions referred to above as 4.79827673359629000E+17 and 4.79827848345993000E+17.
So the full 18 integer transaction ID is not being exported at all, only the first 15 integers plus 3 zeros - hence their duplicates in that issue possibly??
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ALTER THE EXPORT TO EXPORT THE FULL 18 INTEGER TRANSACTION ID AS A TEXT VALUE???

Hey @nigelwheeler. I've just spoken to one of my application support team members regarding your specific case here. It seems like you have Format > Numbers > Scientific setup in terms of creating the Google Sheet data (and importing). My suggestion is that you create a new file, make sure that the numbers are set to numeric and then try importing that sheet into Wave. Let me know if this helps!
