Would you consider Co-working space a Rent Expense?

I'm just wondering if co-working space should be categorized as Rent Expense vs some other expense specifically for co-working space?

If you are sharing an office space with someone else, then I would classify the payments either to the landlord or your co-habitation partner as rent expense.

Hey @Cameron! You can also create an operating expense in your chart of accounts and name is something like "office space rent" and categorize each expense transaction to it!
