Does Wave comply with the bookkeeping software specifications of Sweden?

Basically, businesses are not allowed to use spreadsheets for accounting because data can be deleted at anytime. Instead, all transactions must be posted. If mistakes are made, edits themselves will be posted.

    Hey @MXMLLN, as far as I know, Wave was has not specifically adapted its accounting software to fit the SRF-konsulterna's specifications, but based on the article you sent, it looks like Wave is not entirely excluded, as it is not a general spreadsheet program.

    One thing to note, however, is that deleted transactions in Wave are not recorded anywhere after they have been deleted. Any deletions are permanent, and any edits to transactions will be reflected in the transaction details with the date that the transaction was last updated.

    With this in mind, I'd recommend reaching out to the SRF-konsulterna directly to see if, given the above, Wave fits within their specifications!

    Thanks for the detailed investigation, James.
    My interpretation of the specifications is exclusively related to deletion. They give spreadsheets as an example, but any software that allows removal of records seems to be problematic. I've come across some software where administrators can remove deletion permissions from users and that would be acceptable.
