How to delete a bank chart of accounts that already has transactions

I have created a Paypal account in my Chart of Accounts and by mistake the currency was set to EURO instead of USD. Actually the Paypal account is in USD.

I have created 2 sales invoices in USD which I was paid for and added the income in my Paypal account. Now I want to change this account from EURO to USD but the system does not allow me. How can I delete this Paypal account and recreate it in USD since it already has 2 paid invoices on it?

    Hey @harrisandrea. In this situation, it might be best to delete those payments associated with the invoices (as in the transactions), then make sure you delete the Chart of Account (archive it) that has the incorrect currency associated with it. Once this is done, you can create a new account that is with the correct currency and reapply payments to the invoices. I know this might be tedious, but this is what you will need to do in this situation.
