Report of Product Sales with line item detail

I'm selling tickets for my upcoming event. I have set up as products the tickets I'm selling at different prices for the shows. I'm tracking ticket sales thru invoices. How can I get a summary report showing how many tickets I have sold at each price tier?

Hi an I ask if anyone know how I can get a report on Product & Services?

    Hi @PatD,
I'd love to hear more about the type of data that you were hoping to see on the report. Once I have that information, I can guide you to any pre-existing reports or to ways that you can manually create it using the tools in Wave.

    Hi Jordan
I have created a product that has Sales & Purchases accounts tied to it. Unfortunately I cannot obtain a consolidated report that enables me to see the profit/loss of the Product.

    Could you help?

    Thanks.

Hi @PatD. As of right now, there isn't a way to generate a specific report for Profit & Loss on a Product. This feature has been heavily requested and we are hoping to have something available to our users in the future, but still no concrete timeline for this. One thing that you can do is export your invoices by going to Settings > Others > Export Data (export transactions) -- from here, you should be able to pinpoint each product/service that was sold on all invoices and calculate that amount separately... although tedious, this is the only workaround we have as of right now.

Thank you for this workaround. Its tedious but helps. Hope the P&L Report for Products & Services can be included in the near future.

This feature is talked about in some other post but not as a "feature request".

Personally, I think the "Income by product report" is a pretty nice one to have. Providing a date range, the report should return the income per each product. Then clicking on each product should take you the list of invoices with that particular product in them. It is worth mentioning that the list of invoices (in the second page) is also affected by the date range provided in the first page.

Hey @Mehran, I definitely agree, this would be a really useful way to organize a report/filter reports going forward. I'll submit a feature request now!

    I just don't get it.
Is it really hard just to show the Quantity of How much Product sold in Sales Report?
So we can monitor how much product that we already sell.
Actually, we already inputted how much product that we sell.

So far, I haven't found an article that can resolve my issue. Is there anyone can help?
    Thanks

@Camerachap We currently don't have a report that tracks specific products & services in Wave. You could, technically, associate each product & service in Wave with a specific income account. Once you do that, you will be able to track the specific income account under the Profit & Loss statement or Account Transactions report, but this is simply just a workaround and potentially not a viable solution for you. A product & service sales tracking report could be something that we implement in the future, but I'm afraid right now it's not on our immediate radar.

Can you find sales of individual items? I would like to know how much I made on a certain item in my inventory. Thank you.

    @MidwayLane,
You can search based on description on the transaction journal. It sounds like in order to get to what I assume you are looking for, you would need to separate your sales and cost of goods sold by the item. That may not feasible if you sell many different items. Another approach you can take is to make sure your descriptions in the transaction journal are consistent for each item. That way, you can export the data to excel and use the sorting capabilities. So for example, you have one sales account "Product Sales". You sell various products with varying costs. Every time you sell Product A you would want the same description and under the cost of goods sold Cost Product A. You can then export each account and sort. From there you can manipulate the spreadsheet to obtain the information you would be looking for.
