How to Change or Delete an Approved Payroll

I approve payrolls a couple of months into the future to ensure they don't get missed. There doesn't appear to be any way to change or delete a payroll that has been approved. Funding shouldn't be the issue because these are payrolls well into the future. Is there a way to change or delete an approved payroll?

Hey @Frank_Guy1! You should be able to delete payrolls if they are not impacted by funding, however, if you are approving payrolls ahead of time, this could be part of the problem. Because Payrolls rely on the one before it to calculate the taxes properly, it means that you will only be able to delete payrolls if there is not one approved for a period before it. This means that you will need to first delete all payrolls that have been approved for periods later than the one that you are looking to delete.
As an example, if your payroll runs on a monthly frequency, and you have approved payrolls including December 2019, in order to make an edit to October's payroll, you will first need to delete December and November's. When you "delete" a payroll, the information entered will still be in the Wave account, it will just unapprove it, so that you can make the necessary edits.
