How to add Investments info from Multiple Partners

Can you please clarify how to add investments done by multiple partners in a business. I am having to write the name of the partner in description field at the moment but this would become cumbersome when trying to reconcile at the end of the year. I searched but I am not able to see any option where I can set that a particular investment was done by a particular partner.

Hi @Manuj_78! Thanks for reaching out here. Typically, investments by partners would flow through an equity account, such as 'owner investment/drawings'. In your case, if you wanted to define each partner, you could add an equity account for each and categorize the transactions accordingly. To do this go to: Accounting > Chart of Accounts > click the 'Equity' tab > under 'Business Owner Contribution and Drawing' click 'add an account'. Each of the accounts you create here will show on your reports as a separate line. Hope that helps!
