Cash Flow Duplicate Purchase Amount

keviraukevirau Member Posts: 9

Hi, when making a transfer to credit card to pay off the balance from a purchase the Cash Flow report adds this transfer to the total amount purchased, In effect Its recording the initial purchase to the credit card and then again when I do a transfer to pay off the credit card. (This is on the cash flow report using the Google Sheets API) Can anyone explain why this is the case, as far as I can understand a transfer should not show up as an expense.

Hey @kevirau . A Cash Flow report quite literally tracks money moving. This means that if there is money moving out of an account and into another, both sides will show up under the cash flow report. If this report doesn't work, I'd suggest using our regular style'd Accrual Type of reports.
