Donations

Hello, Can anyone help me with this? I do bookkeeping for a non-profit museum and I need to track donations - who they are from, totals given, and then track what the donations were used on - but the money will actually be deposited into the same operating bank account as all other monies.

    Hey @KimKetron! Thanks for reaching out, happy to check this out with you. As far as the actual tracking of those donations and who they're from, this Community thread should get you pointed in the right direction. When it comes down to the actual tracking of those funds as far as their use, that might be something that you'd want to use a separate account in Wave to track. I know you'd mentioned that the money will be deposited into the same operating bank account as the rest of the funds, however in order to get a granular look at the usage of these funds, an account created under your Chart of Accounts in the Asset category titled 'Donations' might be best.
