Report for 2019 expenses

I can't seem to figure out how to run a report showing last year's expenses. Can anyone advise?

    Click Menu > Reports > Profit & Loss. Then in Date range field Select the Year 2019. Then hit update report. If you hit Details next to Summary. It will open up a list you will then see your expenses there for the date range you had selected..
