Unrecognized category transactions issue with reconciliation?

SOLVED after lot of trial and error and no support help
After the waveapp software update there is not anymore possible to have transaction placed to category unrecognized and marked as reviewed as it was previously case.
This as it seems has caused all my accounts to not match with account balance status, as i have those transactions since 2016 or 2017 etc
When i try to edit multiple of these transactions and change them to some other category its not possible as when i click confirm after edit its not updating them.
Please help. How to fix this issue most easily?
