Double counting of income?

stewartstewart Member Posts: 1

In the section Account balances - my income appears twice, in both Accounts receivable and Cash on Hand.
How can I avoid this double counting?

    Hey @stewart and @Deancas! Can you both let me know if you have transactions that are balancing your accounts receivable? Do you have open invoices for the amount that is listed as 'Accounts Receivable'? That would just mean money that's expected to come into your account for that invoice, and if the invoice is marked as Paid, that Accounts Receivable amount should decrease. Alternatively, it's possible that you're seeing invoice payments just marked as income, and not associated with those invoices. In that case, you would need to categorize those income transactions as 'Payment Received for an Invoice in Wave', which would let you associate those amounts appropriately.

    @ConnorM Thanks, that is helpful.

    Hey there @Vector !

    Do you have duplicate transactions in your Wave account perhaps? If so, I suggest checking out the this Help Center article as it contains a variety of examples on how to tackle this issue. I hope this helps.
