Why when I purchase something the expense shows up fine, but the purchase also appears as an income, under "Transfer from credit card"

Hey @Allycat! This one would come down to the way the Paypal import brings in that transactional information. I believe what's linked is your actual Paypal itself, and since that Paypal is connected to your credit card, it appears to be balancing itself immediately. You may want to delete one of those ends of the transaction (I'd suggest the 'Transfer from Credit Card') so that you have an accurate running total of what your expenses are.
