Shareholder loan for subsidiary

The company has a subsidiary, the shareholder fund in to the subsidiary when the subsidiary incorporated on behalf of the company. So the fund has not come through the company's account, but now the company owe the shareholder, we categorise it as shareholder loan. For bookkeeping, we are suppose to group this fund under asset - investment to subsidiary and liability - shareholder loan. I was thinking of creating a journal transaction but the company has not repay the full loan amount to the shareholder yet, how do I account these transactions.

Hey @Yv_c Because we're support agents and not accountants/CPAs, I'm hesitant to advise on your specific situation as I don't want to give you false information which will have repercussions on your books. I think you'd be best reaching out to your accountant on how to handle this.
