Share capital category

Hello everyone,
.
I am completely new to accounting. I started studying it, and I acquired a certain understanding level. But there are some questions I can't manage to answer and understand yet, and I'd like to ask you for a bit of help.
.
First, I'd like to ask a question about share capital for a company (let's say limited liability). Let's say this company has a share capital of 1000 (whatever currency).
.
In Wave's help files it is clearly marked that I need to:
-debit a "Bank account" (that I create in "Asset" category) 1000
-credit "Loan from Shareholder" (account in "Liabilities" category) 1000.
.
At the same time, I understand that the share capital of a company is part of its equity. However, nowhere do these 1000 appear under any of the "Equity" category accounts.
.
Do I need to make a second transaction, such as:
-debit the "Common shares" (from the "Equity" category) 1000
-credit the previous "Bank account" ("Asset" category) 1000?
.
Or is there another approach to the share capital?
.
Thank you very much in advance for your explanations!
(also, sorry, I guess my message is not in the right category, but I can't arrive to change the forum category...)

Hey @Sergiu! Wave's Support Specialists are able to provide technical support, but because we aren't accountants, we aren't able to provide accounting advice. While we are able to tell you how to do something in Wave, we aren't able to necessarily tell you the right way of doing it when it comes to the principles of accounting.

I would highly recommend reaching out to a registered CPA to ensure that you don't get incorrect advice on how to do your accounting. We'd also recommend checking out our Fearless Accounting Guide PDF for more information on the basics of accounting!
