If a user tries to connect their bank account and gets an error message in Plaid Link that says “Your account is not yet authorized for online use - Please complete the account setup process to continue”, it means that Plaid was able to log in to the bank, but was not able to actually fetch account information because the bank needs you to take some action in the online banking portal.
This could be something complex like finishing the setup of your account, or it could be something really simple like clicking on an informational popup. Plaid just can’t take any of those actions on behalf of your account (you wouldn’t want the machine accepting new terms of service or something!) So it lets the user know they have to log in and do it themselves.
Can you log into your bank and ensure that any set up and any additional information or popups are closed? Let us know!
