Idea: Allow email receipts to be sent directly to WAVE for processing

We really want to use the forward email receipt to wave but it this process only accepts PDF files. The issue is that most of us don't receive email receipts as PDF, their usually a straight email in a EML or PSTformat when forwarded. This places all the work on your customer of having to save an email to a PDF and then reattach the created PDF to a new email and send that off to WAVE.

Recommendation(s):

• Instead, why not just allow customers for forward email in (the new EML standard or PST) and WAVE can process the file to a PDF and process the receipt as we sent in a PDF.
• This is a fairly easy technical speaking - again we've used libraries that can do this in 2-3 lines of code. Obviously this would be a bit more since your integrating into your existing processes, however its its not a major change or or herculean effort if your systems are implemented well.

When you send an invoice to your client they have the ability to view the receipt from the invoice itself. Feel free to test this out with a test invoice if you like!

1. Send an invoice to yourself (without payments turned on)
2. Here you should be able to view the receipt!

If the payment is turned on on the invoice, your client should also be able to view this once they make the payment.

I understand that is not the same request you mentioned in your post, and we value your feedback here.

Thanks Barsin, but I was talking about sending a receipt to wave as a expense - not sending to a customer. Sorry for the confusion.
