Removing products from list

I am trying to remove products from to simplify the list and many products are no longer being sold. This message comes up. All invoices are paid. I ant go back and remove each item as directed. WHY? This removes data/information, no?

    Hey @Graham_NH , the way that Wave is currently set up, if an item has been used on an invoice, I'm afraid that the item itself can't be deleted and the item and the data for the item is associated to the invoice.

    The only option to remove it at the moment would be to change the product to a placeholder so that you can delete it.
