Filtering missing categories

Seems like I've always been able to filter transactions for an instance of any category I'm looking for. A drop-down is offered and the search box finds the categories as you type them. Now, not all of the categories are on the list so I can't filter for the transactions I'm looking for. In my case I'm looking for a couple of net asset / profit categories and they are not on the list. Luckily, I knew of a word that was likely in the description so was able to find at least some (!) of the transactions I'm looking for.

I'm finding more categories that are missing. I was looking for an expense category history and cannot filter for that category as it is not on the list. My workaround, though it takes longer, is to run a report for account balances for the entire history period I'm interested in then find the category of interest then click on it to find what I'm looking for. I'm sure hopeful that this is a temporary miss and the filtering will return to full function soon.
