I am aware WAVE will no longer be supporting some countries like Australia and are encouraging us to move across to ZOHO. But if we are not using Payroll, can we continue to use WAVE for accounting?

Hi Bowen, I believe it is only the payments side that is being "unsupported" for outside US - so if you only use Wave for book keeping (and do not use it for any payment processing) then you should be fine. This is my case (though I don't use the PayRoll part so am not 100% confident of my answer) - I only use it for generating invoices which the customers pay using bank transfer and it has been working fine since Wave disabled payments in the UK.
I think you still can but the bank feed will stop.
Have been looking around for something that's free and works well over here in Australia too. I've tried https://gimbla.com for the last few weeks it's great so far.
Give that a try.
