CSV File - Amounts Column not recognized as currency/numbers

Hello,
We are in South Africa, where the Rand is our currency. Our CSV file exports with the amounts column showing as: R53,910.11. As such, excel does not recognize this as currency or a number. Does anyone have advice on how to quickly fix, without having to go into into each cell and remove the 'R' & ',' ?

    I think Excel lets you do a Search and Replace within a specific range, @Niki. You could start there. I know Google Sheet does. Just do a search and replace in your amount column that searches for R and replaces it by nothing. And then once more for the comma.
