In-Kind Donations

I am using Wave for our non-profits books; we get in-kind donations that we turn around and give away as prizes at our biannual bingo. What would be the best way for us to record these on our books?

I am also wondering about this exact thing. We had some tree stands donated by a huge hardware place and we then sold them in our Christmas Tree fundraiser. How do I record this? My usual transactions are via a bank cheque account, so this has me a bit stumped.
