Unacceptable demands to release paid funds.

To our surprise Wave has decided to "HOLD" our payout and required certain documents to release the funds. While I can respect all parties in transactions to protect their interest in case of any potential future disputes. One of the demands was to provide a work order contract with details. How can this even be possible for the 3rd party in a transaction to ask and view sensitive business related information ?
We have provided the context of the transaction and have even (shamefully) had our client respond to Wave that the work order and services in the invoice has been completed. I’m truly in shock as we have never had anything similar happen to us in 15 years of doing business.
