Stripe Payments ending in 2022

I got a message from Wave saying that credit card payments for Wave invoices via Stripe will stop working in 2022. This is nuts - why would they break that feature? Has anyone found a work around or solution?

Seems like a suicide pill to me for Wave - being able to easily create invoices and get paid for them was a key feature and lure of Wave.
