Ability to associate Bills to Customers

This has been discussed elsewhere, but it was about 2 years ago. I run a service based business where my income comes from projects which I have to pay sub-contractors to perform. I would die for a way to associate a bill (in this case it's really COGS) with a customer, and then also have the ability to run a profitability report on that customer to quickly understand income - COGS

There are manual ways to do this now by manually tagging expenses to the Customer, but remembering to do that is a pain, and if I could have just associated the Bill will a customer when it was created, it would save that pain.

Theoretically this would also give wave the ability to include the bill in the customer profitability report before it is actually paid (if it had an Accrual report type).
