HOW TO GET THE GENERAL LEDGER SUMMARY/DETAIL REPORT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER BASED ON ACCOUNT NAME

Hi, I would like to get the General Ledger Summary & Detailed reports in alphabetical order based on the account name within each group (like: Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Income, Cost, Expenses), can someone help? There are many expense accounts, I don't know what is the order based on the report, it is not convenient. Thanks.

Hi, @sstc!

Unfortunately, there's no way to sort accounts in the General Ledger. The accounts there are ordered by type of account (Asset, Liability, etc.), then by subtype (bank account, Accounts receivable...) and then alphabetically. It can be a little hard to parse in the older version of Wave, but this is made much clearer in reports in the new version. You (and all other Wavers still working with the old version) will be migrated over the next few months, so stay tuned!
