invoice not shown in sales/invoices, invoice number is blocked

Somehow I managed to create invoice which is not shown in sales/invoices so I it can not be deleted. However this invoice occupies invoice number. And I have gap in numbering. Is there a way to correct it?

    @mdgarf, could you have saved it as a draft without approving it? If that's the case, it'll be under your draft tab on the Invoices page, you'd have to delete it there.
