Generation of Sales report by segregation into cash, advance and credit sales

I have a small business set up and I would like to know how to generate sales report based on product and also based on the mode of payment ( cash, advance or credit)

For products, you can do it if you link each of your product to a different income account.

For the payment method, the only way to see that information is to click on specific invoices to see the payment method, I think. I suppose you could also make 3 different versions of each of your items, each linked to different income accounts to keep track of that, but that sounds like a ton of work.
