Cannot delete invoice

I'm having trouble with one of my invoice. i cant seem to update new payment into it. Decided to delete it however failed to do so. Please help me with this as it's messing with my accounting for more than 2 months!

I ran into this a bit back too, @sarah91. Did you get that invoice paid through Wave? If you did, you won't be able to delete it. You'll have to write off whatever balance is remaining on there, or move things around afterwards to make sense of everything. Can you share more info about what happened? I dealt with this a couple of times and I might be able to help out.
