can invoice numbers start from 1 each year ?

I've now passe to accounting year 2018 , however the invoice numbers dont start from 1 for the new year , the continue from following the last number from 2018.
Is this the way it should be or do we need to nullify them ?

Hi @hmh_mike1424 and @Ken, what you're noticing is correct, "Invoice 1" is tied to an invoice that already exists in Wave and can't be reused.

The invoice/estimate numbering pattern will always increase from the previous sequence you set, even when your new fiscal year starts. However you can always customize the invoice number when you're creating one, as long as the number is not a duplicate of another invoice in Wave.

What I might suggest is creating a numbering system for this year with 2018 as a prefix. So you would have Invoice 2018-1, Invoice 2018-2, etc. In 2019, you could begin the year with invoice 2019-1, and so on. Hope that helps!
