Is there a way of issuing a "quotation" that could possibly be converted to an "Invoice"
Suggestion/guidance will be appreciated
@hnajee Hey there. You can send out an estimate in Wave which can then be turned into an invoice for your client to make a payment -- here's how: https://support.waveapps.com/hc/en-us/articles/208621756-How-to-convert-an-estimate-to-an-invoice
@hnajee I was able to reply to your post located in the community discussion; https://community.waveapps.com/discussion/2946/quotation
@JamieD Thanks for your suggestion. I had wanted "QUOTATION" on the document rather than ESTIMATE. Any thoughts?
@JamieD Want "QUOTATION" on the document to be sent; i.e., it is an offer. Estimate could mean it is not an offer.
Any thoughts or suggestions
@hnajee
If you always want the document to be called quotation, you can go to Settings > Invoice Customization and go to the Estimate Settings section. You can change some of the default values here including the name of the document. Once you save, you can create a new estimate and it will have the new title on it! See the screenshot below for what the settings are that you can save.
@Rahim . Yessssssssssss. That is what I wanted. Thanks a million.
@hnajee One workaround could be to change the title of the Estimate to say "Quotation for X". Definitely not the ideal workaround, but at the very least it will appear to your customer as a quoted price which you can convert to an invoice if they accept the quotation.
@Samd Thanks a million. This one frustrated me and do appreciate your support
