Invoice numbers won't automatically increase

Everytime I create a new invoice, it uses an old invoice number I used 2 years ago. I have to manually type a new number every time and it doesn't increase automatically (e.g. I type in 180035 and the next one will still be something like 1600012003).

Hi @Divana, thanks for posting!

When the invoicing system creates its invoice numbers, it will always take the largest number ever used in the past and increment that by one. For example, if you started with 10000, and then changed it to 0001, the next invoice number will be 10001 (and not 0002).

If you edit or delete the previous invoice with the largest number (e.g. if you change Invoice 10000 to Invoice 5), then next largest invoice number would be used as the new reference point instead.
