Thought I take a stab at the answer. If you are in a self service state then Wave will compute the payroll but you would be responsible for remitting payments and filing forms with the IRS and state. These would include the 941 (quarterly) 940 (annual) W-3 (annual) and W-2 (annual). In addition you have the state withholding and state unemployment reports. I believe they will provide reports to assist in the preparation.
If you are in Wave service state then it appears they handle everything. Below is a link to the payroll service.
