Chrome + VPN extension (Private Internet Access) = Wave dies

Can anyone access Wave with a VPN extension loaded? I have Private Internet Access as a VPN extension, and with the extension merely loaded the Wave site won't do anything. I get redirected to a "You do not have permission to view this page" page. The VPN isn't active, it's just loaded in the background. Turning this off every time I want to access Wave is a PITA.
