Where is the button for importing clients and invoices from Freshbooks?
Way WAY too much data to re-enter everything. All other bookkeeping sites have it, I just can't seem to find it here.

Hey @magestyx . There's no button to click to import clients and invoices from a different software. What you can do instead is export this data and use our Google Sheets integration called Wave Connect which to import it into Wave.

I have uploaded a .csv file with my clients list.
It showed a success message, but clients are not being displayed on the customers section.
I tried to upload the file again but now it says I already have those clients created.
    Would anybody help me?

Hey @jmadriz! Thanks for reaching out! Hmmm, that is strange if it is not showing. Can you try some troubleshooting steps to see if that helps to resolve the issue? Try using Wave with browser extensions disabled. If you have Chrome, try opening up an incognito window, logging into your Wave account, and viewing the customer page again (or if you have Firefox, open a private browsing window). If that doesn't work, try clearing your cache and cookies. You can read more about the browsers we support, and how to troubleshoot issues for your individual browser HERE. If you are still having problems can you reply with a screenshot showing the: Sales -> Customers page in your account?

Hi, thanks for your answer but it didn't work.
Already clean all the navigation data and tried in an incognito window.

    Please see the images below:
    1. I tried to upload the client's data again
    2. Wave confirmed that the clients already exists, so it didn't find any new contacts to import.
    3. That's the client's page in my account and only shows one client (manually added).

Hey @jmadriz! Thanks for reaching back out with your workflow here. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why the customer CSV upload wouldn't be working for you, and Wave doesn't have the tools to properly troubleshoot customer CSV files at present. I'd recommend using Wave Connect to uploading your customer information into Wave, as it might be a bit more successful!

Is it possible to import clients from Freshbooks? What about past history, ie, past invoices, paid etc.

  • ConnorMConnorM Member Posts: 1,229 ✭✭✭

Hey @Naim! Thanks for reaching out here. This would all totally depend on the format that Freshbooks lets you export that data in. With that said, I'm thinking you'd see some success in using Wave Connect to help import that data into Wave!
