Newbie question

I have just found Wave and would like to use it, mostly for the ability to scan receipts or send photo of receipts in to be automatically input onto my account. (if i understand that correctly anyway, is that right?) I don't do any invoicing or payroll. I just want to use my wave account like a hand written checking account register showing the amounts I take in and put out, with names, categories and memos. And hopefully, like Quicken it will auto populate when it recognizes it is the same type entry. I won't be hooking it up to any bank or account.

Is this possible on Wave?
