deleted invoice for canceled service

I have a customer who paid their invoice, then a couple of months later requested a refund due to COVID. I refunded it, and canceled the recurring invoice but can't get rid of the original invoice since there is payment and CC info attached to it.
This isn't 'bad debt' so that article doesn't help, this is canceled service with a refund. I don't think deleting the payment and refund transactions makes sense. How do I get rid of this so it stops showing as unpaid?

Hey @jasonlittle, thanks for reaching out here. Within Wave, the only way to write off an invoice that has been paid and refunded would be to follow that 'bad debt' article. It would not be possible to delete the invoice. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

Where is this "bad debt" article. I'm having the same issue and want to clear the "overdue" invoices.
