Uploaded receipt tax bug
Recently completed a project where we needed to get a bunch of stuff from Home Depot. After we were done, we returned the extra, unneeded items. Uploaded both the initial receipt as well as the return receipt. They're done processing however I an unable to post the return receipt once I correct the total amount to a negative number (returned items, credited back to my card). Getting an error about how the sum can't be less than the tax paid. Obviously the automated system is not seeing the "-" in front of the numbers. Apparently I need to correct the tax but there isn't a tax line when I view the transaction details, just the subtotal and the total. Not seeing how to change an uploaded receipt into a credit and not seeing an alternate work-around on this one. Thoughts?

@Treasurer_FirmBase Unfortunately the receipt upload function does not take in refund receipts so it is an expected outcome for that product. For this particular scenario you would have to create an income transaction to the account from which you initially made the purchase from, to bookkeep for the return.
To post an income, see here: https://support.waveapps.com/hc/en-us/articles/208621566-How-to-manually-add-an-income-transaction
Make sure to "Include tax" as well so you can account for the sales tax returned!
