NRA Exemption Amount - Employee Tax Details

Noticed a required field under Employee Tax Details - "NRA Exemption Amount"

  1. What is expected to be added in this field?
  2. Does this apply for Employees who are US Citizens?

Hello - just noticed this, too. Suddenly all employees have "Tax details missing." Thanks.

NRA is non-resident exemption. My part-time employees don't earn enough for this to matter, so I just entered 0. Not helpful. But then, there was nothing I could find on irs.gov for W4 guidance.

Hey @olllllllo and @bufordr1 ! The NRA exemption amount is a new feature which we have added into Wave to give employers more control over their employees' taxes. This tax exemption is related to foreign employees, so if you do not have any employees this would affect, then you can simply enter "0" as the value for that box. There is further information on the NRA tax on the IRS webpage here

Hello @SPSC_Treasurer ! That's odd. You should still be able to access your employee tax details on the Payroll > Employees > employee(s) in question > Tax Details page. If you are having issues accessing this page, I suggest trying some basic browser troubleshooting steps.
