Any Tips for Taking a Photo of a REALLY LONG Till Slip?

AccountsProAccountsPro Member Posts: 103 ✭✭

Hi!

Does anyone have any tips for this? Traditionally we have to cut them (with scissors) into 2 to 4 parts then line them up then photograph them for uploading in the purchases app.

Or we have to go through the rigmarole of sticking it on an A4 page, scanning it with a traditional A4 scanner, and emailing it to the system.

Both of those are tedious, but we need the detail.

Any suggestions?

Hey @AccountsPro , unfortunately any alternative suggestion I can give you on this is also tedious as well. I typically advise taking a single photo of the receipt from high up, and then adding the details into the transaction itself. Again, a tedious solution that works, but probably not exactly what you're looking for.

@AlexL got it, thanks Alex. The single photo suggestion is impossible, the camera is not long enough to capture the entire slip that is why we cut it up, lols.
